Interim Pastor Candidate Announcement

The Interim Pastor committee has been seeking God’s guidance in identifying candidates and ultimately selecting an Interim Pastor who will guide FMBC through this period of transition.

The Committee is blessed to introduce to our congregation one who is being considered for the position. Rev. Dr. Leonard Thompson hails from Independence, Ohio. Until recently he has held the office as Executive Minister of the Cleveland Baptist Association and the Chicago Baptist Association.

Dr. Thompson will be visiting with us during the weekend of May 18-19th. In addition to meeting with the Boards, Rev. Thompson will be delivering the spoken word on Sunday, May 19th at both the 7:45 AM and 11 AM services. Please extend a warm welcome to Rev. Dr. Leonard Thompson, a candidate who is being considered for the Interim Pastor position at FMBC.

Support The Mission Trip

You've been hearing monthly from the 2013 Youth Mission Trip Team as they've been providing updates on their activities and preparation so far for their Jamaica trip. And they will continue to provide you with those updates as they lead up to their July departure date. What hasn't been shared to this point is how you as their church family might financially support them, if you are so led. We've set up online giving on a site called Give MN-Razoo, for which the link is below. This is the same tool that has been used for trips in previous years. Donations made using the link below will be accumulated and sent once a month via check directly to Fellowship in the name of the Youth Mission Trip.

Please give prayerful consideration of your financial support, as we understand it is a sacrificial offering (it is not the tithe). And most certainly keep the team in your prayers as they continue to study, prepare and work in these months ahead.

Sunday School

9:30 - 10:30 A.M.

The FMBC Sunday School Department invites you to attend.  We offer classes for everyone in the family.  Our Goal and Purpose is to provide students of all ages with biblical instruction and principles that will aid them in their Christian walk, witness, and development.

Sunday School began a new academic year on September 2, 2012. Our church uses the Urban Ministries, Inc. (UMI) Publishers. The lessons are based on the Uniform Series International Sunday School Lessons.

The Uniform Series is a 6-year plan for reading and studying the Bible. By participating in the Uniform Series, a learner will be given help in knowing the content of the Bible, understanding its message, and responding to that message by living a life of faith and love.

The Spring Quarter’s study is entitled, Hope.
